Ingredients of Butter Paneer
- You need of Paneer cut into cubes.
- It's of butter.
- You need of cloves.
- Prepare of bay leaves.
- It's of red chilli powder.
- Prepare of Salt.
- Prepare of sugar.
- It's of garam masala.
- It's of tandoori masala powder.
- You need of crushed Kasuri methi.
- Prepare of cream or malai.
- Prepare of cornflour optional.
- You need of Blanch and grind together:.
- Prepare of big size tomatoes with slightly slit on top.
- Prepare of medium size onion sliced.
- Prepare of garlic.
Butter Paneer step by step
- In a pressure cooker add all the ingredients for blanching with 1/2 cup water.Cook till one whistle,lower the flame, further cook for 7-8 minutes and off the flame..
- After sometime open the cooker,strain the blanched items. Keep the strained water aside.When cool remove skin of the tomatoes and grind everything together into puree..
- Heat a pan add Butter, cloves,bay leaves cook slightly, butter should not burn. Add the puree and the strained water. Mix in salt, and other spices accept kasuri methi and cream..
- Cook till the water reduces a little.Now add paneer cubes, kasuri methi cook for a minute..
- Lastly add cream, cook for few seconds more. Off the flame and let it sit for some time before serving. It will taste better garnish with butter or Cream.Serve with Tandoori roti and vinegar onion salad..
- If needed: to thicken the gravy,add cornflour mixed with water to the gravy. (Or cashew paste)..
